How to make a stylish outfit with only $30!
Why are cute items so expensive?
I think that is the craziest question ever! I hear a lot of people say that in order for you to look cute, you have to spend alot of $Money. That is so not True! You too can look great if you knew how to budget your funds. People get so lost in the idea that just because that girl has 100k instagram followers you could never look at cute as she does! Do not believe that. Its all about working with what you have and making it your own style.
I recently came across a girl named Monica Style Muse on Instagram. (click her name) She is a Latina fashion and beauty blogger from New York with over 59k Youtube subscribers & 38k Instagram followers. Her videos are all so cute, motivational, and full of beauty and style tips! Check her out! Anyways.. A few weeks ago she posted a really cute outfit that I wanted to replicate for girls day. I didn't want to spend too much money, so I thought maybe I could find some of those items in a thrift shop? That day I went to searching and I came across a Goodwill. I knew the black shorts had to be high waist-ed and distressed, and I had to find a fitted-denim button down shirt. I found the shirt in no problem, but I began to get a little frustrated when I couldn't find any pants. The key is to NOT GET FRUSTRATED. Being around all of those clothes can be overwhelming but If you get frustrated, you will lose focus and walk out. That is not the goal! After about 20 mins I found some high waist-ed black denim jeans and I figured I could distress them to my liking. I also ended up finding a black hat that was originally from Forever 21 in replace of the bandanna she used in her outfit. The jewelry I purchased ended up coming from Burlington Coat Factory, which was $6 for the necklace and earrings! Finally I had a pair of black booties in my closet that looked very similar. Unfortunately those are not apart of the $30 outfit but I did catch those on a $20 deal a year ago.
This is what I purchased under $30
- Black Jeans $8 ( that I distressed ) Click this link for a how to guide --> Click here!
- Denim Button down $5
- Necklace $6
- Hat $10
