It's a Holiday in the summer! I'm Engaged, Who Would of Thought?

As a little girl everyone dreams of how they’re going to get proposed to and who would be the man to do it. Honestly I was never that little girl. I guess because I grew up to be so independent and high strung that I never thought I would need a man to fulfill my life. It wasn’t until my friend and now fiance met in 2014, remained friends , and dated and it’s been amazing ever since. Without being too personal and leaving some things for our relationship, I am going to tell you all our story.

If you have been a reader of my blog since i’ve started you have read about my heartbreaks and confusion in in the past. If you are a new, here’s a quick summary. I have always communicated with men who really aren’t worth my time and have kind of lost myself in between that stage. In college it was the same thing, date here and there and learn from experience. Back in 2016 I dated a guy and he lead me on to believe it was something, in reality he just was being his age and wasn’t ready. All of my past relationships kind of shook me in a way of confusion and pushed me more to self love. I learned so much from these past years and I am grateful for those experiences.

Now to the juicy part haha!! My fiancé and I met on a group trip arranged by our mutual friend. I was not about the match maker thing at all. I just wanted to go on the trip, enjoy my time and party. I was in my early 20s and still living my best life. Surprisingly when we met, we immediately clicked and became super close friends. We lived in different states at the time so we knew it wouldn't work if we tried. I wasn’t a big fan of long distance relationships, but anyone who is in one , kudos to you all! Anyways we always remained friends and in contact and when we moved to Atlanta, we agreed to hang out often again. After a few years of remaining friends we decided that we wanted to date and we did. 2017 was when we started dating and haven’t looked back since. With all the ups, downs and in betweens , that was on the best decisions I made.

Fast forward to the proposal…it wasn’t how I planned my proposal, it was so much better! My fiancé knows i’m a sucker for roses and flowers, so to my surprise it was at the botanical gardens. He told me a month prior that we were going to an event that he was being honored at and that I needed to look nice. To my surprise, that was actually a moment he planned for me and it was beautiful. The little details I would keep personal but let’s just say, my family and best friends were present, a videographer captured the whole moment and a beauitul singer sung the tunes I will remember for life. We had an engagement party that same night with 30 of our friends and family and partied the night away! That whole day was beautiful and I wouldn’t have asked for it to be any other way!!!

After about a month of excitement, we realized that we needed to send over Thank You cards to our guest, so I partnered with Basic Invite LLC to customize my personal stationary cards. I received my cards within a week and their customer service was amazing. Basic Invite is one of the few companies that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order. Basic Invite has the option to choose different envelopes colors which is so cool to me, and they have literally any card you can name for any occasion. Speaking of ocassions, they have recently showcased their new stationary collection for the holidays. They have the most beautiful Christmas cards that you can customize to your liking. The variety of templates for the Christmas cards are so hard to choose from because they are some of the best I have seen so far. The foil holiday cards are so vibrant and you can change the foil to gold, silver, or rose gold and it can be raised or flat. See below links to all the fabulous Holiday cards Basic Invite has.

I honestly love my cards and you all know I wouldn’t recommend any product that isn’t affordable and I haven’t tried myself. My Thank You cards are a keepsake I will have forever and I absolutely love them.

I hope you all loved my engagement story. If you are someone going through heartbreak or confusion, just remember that the light shines bright at the end of the tunnel. Love yourself, find yourself, find peace and that special person would come into our life! I am literally a walking testimony and I am forever grateful for all of my experiences!

Until Next Time,
